A natural athlete, Joe’s formidable physique and exceptional conditioning saw him excel at an early age in athletics, rugby union, kung fu and capoeira. He found his calling in boxing at age 22 whilst completing a Fine Art Degree at Middlesex University.

Joe shocked fighters and coaches alike with his speed, agility, dynamism and dazzling aerial acrobatics — no other heavyweight moves like Joe Joyce. His relentless pressing style, expert ring control and intelligent shot selection mean fights move at Joe’s pace: always.

Raised in Putney, Joe is a homegrown talent and celebrated pillar of the London Community. He is also a skilled artist and art enthusiast, with his work currently on display with the prestigious Art of the Olympians programme. His degree in fine art squashes misconceptions that fighters - especially heavyweights - are unable to be expressive, or are unable to be creative.
